W204 C220 CDI AMG Sports Package
Unable to voice enter Destination - Australia Comand APS
Just took delivery of my C220 CDI. I included Comand APS as an option. I am able to voice command most functions except when entering the destination in the Navigation system.
Whenever I say "Enter Destination" or "Enter Street" (or any address entry command) in the Navigation screen, the system returns a message "Function is not available at this time". Although manually keying the destination address works.
Can any Australian (or New Zealand) owners confirm if this function is working for you? I need to know before I lodge a complaint.

C180K 2011 COMAND, AMG, Dynamic Xenon, Business Pack, H&K Audio and +
Dema , can you check which language you have selected English AUS, or Enlish US. That might make a difference i think.
I had to switch to dutch language in order to get my comand to accept the whole word entry for the city and street names. In English I had to spell the city name or street name.
Can you manually add the address using the knob ? Do you get anything greyed out in Navi options?

Your dealer should have told you when you picked your car up that they are waiting for a patch/upgrade so the function will work, there was a issue with the Aussie map & the voice command, I have been waiting for 2 months so don't hold your breath.

Apparently a firmware upgrade to linguatronics in 2008 is in the works to allow Australian W204 owners to enter voice commands for navigation. So keep an eye out for a recall letter from your dealership.
