iPhone Contact List Transfer
Has anyone had any experience transferring their contact list / address book to their C300/350 (without the MM package) from an iPhone? Can this be done? My dealer has no clue...? Thanks in advance!

Me neither... My RAZR transferred contacts wonderfully, albeit one at a time... This really sucks...

I had the same problem. It seems it only accepts Vcards and not address books or contact lists. I had to fire up my Black Jack and switch between 2 sim cards to enter mine and my wifes contacts. Defintely a pain in the a$$. After entering all the contacts- I went and had my Ipod integration kit installed and of course everything was erased. I don't understand it since even my Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS syncs the contact list as soon as I sync the Bluetooth. You can tell they didn't consult with any tech freaks on this system.

I called Apple about this and they said, "There are only so many features that they could include and keep the cost right at $400..." They say that this problem can be resolved either via a software patch to the phone itself or to the car... But there is a catch... It has not and will not be developed unless there is sufficient demand to justify it... I thought that was just, well, special...

C300 (W204) w/ MM, P1, & 18"amg's
^Wow would it have killed them to please the high end buyers for once? they knew that a $400 phone was going to be used by people with MM bluetooth... Apple should have takin that extra step to please us. But hey life could be worse... I dont think not having my contacts on my 40k car's LCD screen is going to kill me lol.

The only phone I've seen work perfectly with the W204 is the Blackberry. The best way for everyone else is to put your vcards on a memory card and import it using the PCMCIA adaptor on the front.

It does not import the address book in one step. I had to enter the address book-select the contact-press menu-select "beam contact" and repeat for EVERY contact. It worked but was a time consuming process.

Is there anyway to add names/numbers manually into the car? I just need 2 or 3. I haven't figured a way, and I have an iPhone, so I can't do it that way.

I've decided to transfer my contacts from saving the vCards from Apple Mail to a Compact Flash, then attaching it to a PCMCIA adapter. Okay, seems easy enough.
Now, most of my contacts has multiple numbers attached to them (mobile, home, work, etc.), would all of the numbers transfer over? If so, would it create separate contacts for mobile, home, work, etc.?

I am very miffed at MB. In my wife's Peugeot with OEM bluetooth I can directly access my entire iphone phonebook and call lists. No Vcards, no transfers, no nonsense. Once the iphone connects, it's all there for the car's handsfree to use. It's MB's bluetooth, not the iPhone.
