I searched and searched...Ordering w/badge delete?

Hello,
I swear I read on here that someone had ordered their car with the badges removed. I know it's a simple enough process (I did it on my STi) but if we can get the car w/o them from the factory, why not? Then there is a 0% chance it gets screwed up.

So if there is a code I need to tell the saleswoman could someone let me know. OF course she has no idea what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the help.
Byron

This is much more common in Europe and the other markets. I've never heard this badge delete option for U.S. MBs before.

+1. Not in the US. You can probably have the dealer do it for you after you take delivery. Otherwise you'll just have to do it yourself as you did before.

yeah they offered. I may have them do it. Then they are responsible. We'll see what they wife says since it's her car.

There isn't any risk involved with removing the badges anyway.

Sure there is, you can hold the heat gun/blow dryer on the badge too long and end up melting a ghost pattern into the paint.

it just depends on the dealer, but im sure you can have them remove it when you purchase the car. I had a car once that had pin strips on them and i got those removed before i picked up the car.
