2009 Features - Backup camera
although i really would like to get a new C class today, im really trying hard to hold out until 2009 to get a number of features (hopefully) that the 2008 is currently lacking.
specifically i am really hoping for a backup camera. the fact that it was showcased in national treasure (great movie!) really makes me think that it is inevitably coming... any thoughts on this?
i know there has been many discussions on what might be in the pipeline, but does anyone have any updates on the 2009?

I wouldn't base my decision on something you saw in a movie, it is a movie after all and they just do what they need to do to further the plot. James Bond had rockets in his Aston Martin and that didn't make it to production lol, you get the idea. I'll give it to you that the back up camera and things such as memory seats and C350 4matics seem realistic for U.S. spec cars, but some of the other options mentioned on this board like the Active Agility Control and a six speed manual transmission for C350's doesn't seem too realistic to me. At this point its all just speculation, know one really knows...I would hope Benz knows but from the U.S. C options its hard to really tell isn't it.

look forward to seeing a response to this as i am very interested in adding this to my new c but only if it is done right. wish the vid showed the camera in the rear of the car.

i don't know about the rest of you, but i would be very hesitant to have something like this added to my car... it was all well and good, when i added a 5k audio system with multiple subs and custom enclosers to my camaro in college, this on the other hand is a entirely different thing.
