Question Taillamp differences?

How come some new 204's have the more jeweled taillamps which almost look like they have LED turn signals. And some have just regular non descript ones? Sorry if this has been discussed before.

The LED turn signals come with the P2 option. No P2 = regular bulb turn signals. The LED turn signals look great too.

2 different packages!

the LED ones and the bixenon headlights come together usually in a package.. depending on ur country.

the regular taillights are offered with regular halogen headlights.

i think you need the P2 package in order to have the LED/xenons

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the C350 will P2 will illuminate red, and the C300 with P2 will illuminate amber.

I could have sworn I saw that once.

On a side note, please post the name of the dealership you took these pics at so we all know not to buy a car from them. Who in their right mind puts a sticker/emblem on the back of a Mercedes Benz? Ruined the entire look of the car and I would even go to a different dealer just so I didn't have to go through the hassle of removing the sticker/emblem!

I wouldn't allow my Dealer to stick that cheap looking badge on my car either, took several reminders to make sure but definitely it ruins the car. I also didn't let them put on the cheap plastic license plate frames with their MB Dealer advertisement. My car is not a free billboard for these Dealers.

I've never understood the badging. It has to be the most hideous thing.

A car deserves $10,000 off, if it has that!

Yeah, there are dealers that would bump up the price if you wanna remove the sticker... I heard that a while ago, forgot which dealership it was though, but it wasn't a MB...
It IS, indeed, advertising, so they're paying you for that (by "lowering" the price, or by telling you they would bump up the price if removed )... with all the traffic nowadays, it's a pretty effective media...

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the difference we are supposed to see in the picture? I look at the two lights and they look the same to me.

Only if you are signaling RIGHT.
But I agree that the alignment of the LED bulbs form an interesting pattern. I was hoping that it would flash amber though.

The top Pewter car (top picture) has the p2 package, you can tell because the center section of the tail light is clear and reflects the silver background. The white car (second picture) is a non p2 car, the center tail light section isn't as clear more like a bathroom window and reflects white. If you were to examine them up close you would then notice that the p2 car has l.e.d. lights inside that center section, the non p2 has regular bulbs.
