How would a typical chipped c350 be effected with gas milage decrease?

How would a typical chipped c350 be effected with gas milage decrease?
How would a typical chipped c350 be effected with gas milage decrease? How much on avg do chips take from the mpg? i know this of course depends on the type of chip, but can you give me some idea?

Based on my own experience with chipped cars - my right foot seems to get heavier after the chip's installed and my mileage suffers. On the other hand, I have never let gas mileage play a role in my vehicle selections. I choose fun over practicallity. 
I lost about a mile per gallon.
