How to get the engine cover off?

Hi everyone,

I've been wanting to take the engine cover off my car. I can get the bottom part (with the V6 logo and stuff), but the larger part of the engine cover is on there so strong. Are there screws, is there a clip, something else?

I'd like to get down to the air filters. It's so dusty here I might replace them more regularly than the book lists, and I just want to check everything out.

Any suggestion on how to get to them and get that engine cover off? Thanks.

a quarter mile at a time
pull off the intake tubes and then pull hard. there are 4 rubber mounts that hold it in place, no clips, no screws.

Set your hood straight up, vertical first. Guaranteed to rap your knuckles if you don't.

i pulled mine off after the dealer replaced both cylinder heads to make sure everything was ok, when putting it back on make sure the rubber boot on the cover that goes over the throttle body goes back on correctly, it takes some work but will go ok

Just a couple thousand. No, I'm not changing the air filters right now. I just want to see a bit more of the engine compartment for the time being and for future knowledge.
