Squeaky Trunk?

When I open the trunk using the remote or from the button on the door I sometimes here the hinges of the trunk lid squeaking.

Has anyone else experienced this?

It's probably just the spring. You can try to lube it.

Yep. I have this problem too. Very annoying. Let me know if you find a solution.

Took to the dealer a couple of days back. When I got there they asked me to "show" them the issue. Amazingly I could not reproduce the noise at that point, but he said they will try. Got the car back they told me they lubed every moving part of the trunk lid. Haven't heard a noise since!

agree - use silicone lube, lasts longer.

On my 1,000 mile check up, I complained about this and they must have lubed it up because it is nice and quiet now when it pops open.
