I found some 19" rims for the w204 that I like. They come in 8.5" for the front and 9.5" for the rears. So far so good, but the front offset is 30mm, and the rear offset is 35mm. From what I've learned by searching, the minimum and maximum offset are 40mm and 50mm. Am I correct? So I'm thinking I'll drop in 10mm spacers front and rear, to make it 40mm and 45mm.

If anyone understood what I wrote up there, please answer: will the above setup be bad for the car (specifically the suspension bits) in any way? What are the disadvantages of using wheel spacers, if I don't plan on pushing the wheels out farther than OEM specs?

I dont know the answer to your question. But you should know that using spacers will effectively lower the offset of your wheels not raise it.

Thanks for the help. I think that's what I meant. From what I understand, adding spacers decreases the amount of distance indicated by the number (35 mm, 45 mm, etc), correct?

So, assuming that the w204 requires a minimum 40 mm and maximum 50 mm for the offsets, is there any way to fit those above wheels on the car without rubbing all over the place?
