Reset learned driving ?
I love it love it love it !!! ECU reset + 95 Octane all the way

Now,,, while launching from 0 while switching the ESP off,,, the wheels spin for 3 seconds or something then flies away !! Really different
is there a way to assure that the tcu learns the most aggressive acceleration possible? i do exclusively city driving so i can't be peeling around everywhere to teach the car to GO.
and how long do you have to drive aggressively before it starts to "learn" your new style?
And is the w204 a Cyberdyne system, Model 101. Does it have a Neural Net Processor -- A learning computer?
Same route, very similar times and speeds.
To: typically 25.5 mpg on the "from start" panel
From: typically 26.5 mpg on the "from start" panel
After the reset, both were 2 mpg higher on the same panel.
I did the reset because I recalled seeing over 30 mpg on that panel on some longer drives just after I got the car, but recently they've gone missing. I'll be doing some longer drives next week, and expect to see them again.
I'm thinking that "learning" also involves such stuff as the fixes you get into with traffic and bad weather, and such. Be an optimist, realize it always gets better, and do the reset. At worst, you can reset it again ;-)
So, do this every 3K miles? I waited until 6K and maybe that was too long.
Is there a run in period? My dealer told me there isnt and that i can drive it like i do and take it long distances as well, "as long as i dont run it on say 100kms for a few hrs as the engine needs to learn my driving patterns"
I have had it for a week and have given in a bit some times? would this cause any issues? should i do a ECU reset ?

They say to run in "C" mode, instead of "S" for the first 1500 miles too and take it easy, and vary the speed like you said you're doing.
So yeah take it easy a bit.

Unfortunately no audible/visual indication when I've done it. In my experience the few times I've done it, I've been able to tell that the transmission feels a little more aggressive afterward. Probably because it adjusts to my daily driving which is less aggressive. Darn kids...
It does not involve any manipulations of the ignition switch.
Actually, the throttle is under your foot and through a controller sends a variable signal to the engine management system, resulting in increased fuel flow to increase RPM, vary ignition timing plus sends signals to the transmission control module if it's an automatic.
Happy now, Frankie?

you lost more points with THAT response.
