What did you guys do with the bulb for your Painted Sidemarkers?

Just wanted to get some feedback on what you guys did to your 194 wedge bulbs for your painted sidemarkers. I just recently painted mine, and the amber light shines through the paint at night and it looks very bad. My car is white, so there's amber shiny through the paint. Any ideas on a fix? I was going to wrap the bulb in foil and take it out of the sidemarker assembly and just let the socket/bulb dangle in the wheel wall? anybody else?

I had my sidemarkers painted and told the bodyshop to paint it so that the light doesn't shine through. They did a excellent job and the light doesn't shine through. So I left the bulb alone.

Just leave the bulb along, other wise you'll get a message on the instrument cluster.

maybe find a blacklight 194 bulb and replace it with that. the light output is low so maybe it wont shine through as much.
