lower grill issues!!!!
Hi, newbie here
The lower grill on my Fathers new C300 sport is cracked and falling apart
I know the only way to replace it is to remove the front bumper
I don't see much point with the factory replacement since the "new" cheap fragile plastic grill will more than likely do the same thing .
I know some have had similar issues from projectiles like rocks, ice, etc...
Does anybody know of a good aftermarket lower grill?
Any other thoughts or options?

Re your grill, if you type W204 grill in the search box it will bring up all threads related.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
You have a few options. This one is like the grille in the Evo IV. It's almost like rubber and flexes nicely. You have to stretch it into place. I don't know if the fasteners on the back of our bumpers will withstand the tension or if they will even grip this:

There are several variations of the metal ones as used on the W203 Sport models. I have used metal with great success on other cars. You buy it in sliver (sometimes it is painted), cut it, shape it and then paint it. Keep the paint handy, because it can chip off.

There is this stuff, which is super strong. Here is an example, but you can get raw sheets. It can be powdercoated. There is a member here that sells these.
