How do I reset the Assyst Plus after home servicing
Does anyone know how to reset the Assyst Plus after home servicing. The 204 manual just says " a Mercedes - Benz Service Centre will reset the service indicator after the necessary service work"

Can't tell you for certain, but I'd guess it's done by the STAR diagnostics kit.
As an aside, and I do understand the cost advantages of home servicing, whenever the car is connected to STAR diagnostics (i.e. whenever the dealer has it for a service), STAR will automatically apply all new software updates to the car's computer systems. By way of an example, my W204 which was built in December 2007 was in the dealer's 2 weeks ago for warranty work and it had a number of software updates applied. You won't get any of those updates unless your car visits the dealer for work, and with a relatively new model I would expect software updates on a fairly regular basis. Just something to bear in mind.

Phil, My 220CDI went in for a recall today. They replaced the high pressure fuel line ( steel). I was told that a couple of cars had a slight leak on a joint. I was not told of any updates made to the computer system but I take your point & will keep it in mind.Thank you,
