Outside mirror clear lense
The outside mirrors each have a large clear plastic assembly that contains the amber LED turn signals but those turn signals only occupy about 3/4 inch of the clear plastic area. Above the turn signal LEDs the plastic curves upward and toward the rear and has visible deep V shaped grooves. These grooves are not cut to be reflectors as shining a bright light on them, even in total darkness, does not return much reflected light.
What is this clear plastic area above the turn signal LEDs for? I have not found any reference to an option or other use in either the USA user's manual or the online reference manual.
