Oil Extractor

Getting ready for an oil change and I know our W204 is not that simple to change. Look like it requires a oil extractor and I came across this on ebay. I've always changed my own oil with the cars I have had. And I would like to do this on my W204. How hard is it to get it changed?

I do not know the answer, but if I were to use one, I would prefer a vaccum powered one over an electric one.

the Topsider is the most ubiquitous extractor, but reviews I read say you have to pump it alot. Griots Garage and MityVac are two others that seem to get positive comments.

Oil suckup

It is very easy to change. If it makes you feel good to drain it out the bottom, you can do that but it's a lot more work for zero benefit.

As for me, I'm beyond all that and have been using my Topsider for nigh on to 6-7 years at least. Takes about 15 minutes to suck it all out and yes, you do have to pump up the vacuum a time or three. Or is that pump down the vacuum?.....

My C300 will reach 5000 miles tomorrow and I think I'll change the oil, just for the pure pleasure of it. I'll time myself.
