This Is A How To Guide For The C63 Diffuser
1) Get the C63 Diffuser Part #204-885-45-25 (Thanks Tunetime)
2) You can do this on a lift or on the ground (did mine on the ground )
3) Take your tips off (there is one hex screw in each one). You have to wiggle them up/down and left/right while pulling slightly.
4) There are two bolt that connect the diffuser to the car (look up)
4a) Take the hex screw out of the side where the bumper and stock diffuser meet inside the bumper on the side of each tip.
5) Gently pull the (one side at a time) diffuser down and out.......Then pull the diffuser from the bumper GENTLY.......You will see that the tabs on the diffuser pop out from the bumper.
6) Clean the area with water and a rag (I used a tooth brush and rag)
7) Put the C63 diffuser in on one side then the other.......If you look at the tabs some lock in and some don't. I put a large ratchet sideways in between the bumper and frame (this gave me something to push against) and pushed the back of the diffuser at the top and the tabs locked it to place. Did this for all the tabs that did not lock.
8) Now take the screws you took out the sides and put them back in.
9) Now for the fun part i call this genius.....if you noticed the diffuser is good to go but still alittle shakey.
10) There should be two tabs on the bottom of the diffuser with holes in them (DO NOT BREAK THESE OFF). You will need to make these holes alittle bigger. I used the black screws that attached the stock diffuser to the car, and a flat head screwdriver.
11) Be Careful....Alright the two metal tabs that the stock diffuser mounted to will have to be bent up slightly your choice from here on out, this is what i did.
12) I bought (2) 1/4" bolts 5" in length fully threaded (4) Washers (2) Lock washers (2) Nuts (2) Metal black push locks so the nut won't back off (2) Metal screw clips that will go on the diffuser where the holes are.......the clip is like a u shape with a hole in the top and threaded on the other side. (see pics)
13) Here is what i did, I bent the metal tab up at an angle just alittle (needle nose pliers work fine).....took the bolt and one washer put it thru the metal tab hole....... put the second washer and a lock washer then the nut.........screwed it all the way up with about 10 threads left ..pushed on the push lock with about 3 threads from the nut..........line up the Diffuser hole and put the metal screw clips on the diffuser and align the holes.........then put the bolt in the hole......turn the bolt until you get 1 thread thru the end........Stop........push on the end of the bolt and don't let it move.........now screw the nut all the way up until finger tight ok...........you can do the next step two ways, two wrenches or a wrench and ratchet...........Now the goal is to not let the bolt move while you tighten the nut, when you get thru there should be only 1 thread showing still........see pic
14) Repeat for the other side and you are done, now the diffuser is on sturdy (Questions)
15) Now go put on some DA*N tips

Do This at your own risk

The 2nd to last picture in #2 has the bolts hanging down. Is that how they will stay? The diffuser does not meet the bottom of the car? If so, won't that act like a mini parachute and possibly catch wind? Am I missing something?

yeah thats what was wierd the diffuser does not attach to the bottom like the stock one but the stock one doesn't meet the bottom of the car. You colud use a shorter bolt and not bend the tabs and this would make it be almost level with the bottom of the car. not a real diffuser like ferrari's

Yeah, I remember. Several knuckleheads responded rudely. Are you going to put sleeves over the bolts?

Just called the dealer about this part here in Vancouver Canada, it is in the four hundred range and they don't have this part in their system yet (I don't even know how they got the price exactly...). Am I allowed to post exact amount here? or is it against the rules?

I just ordered my C63 diffuser here in Vancouver. Cost me $425 after taxes about $460ish. Should be here in about 10-14 days. It's a special order from Germany. I'll post pics when I get it guys.
p.s. Flame3g, you should tighten your diffuser to meet the bottom of the car. Like derspeed said it's too much of an opening, no? If you look in the pic in the AMG C63 forum the guy posted the pic of the bottom of their diffuser and it meets. If I make my diffuser meet the bottom of my car it wont be bending the diffuser too much and break will it?
