I wouldn't recommend them, just for the fact that the dealer service dept would have a field day with them; for street driving I can't see that they'd make that much difference for heat. But that's just opinion.
A different pad material would probably be the better way to go. Germans love to use hard rotor material and super soft pad material which creates all of the dust. I probably would too if I had to design a car that might regularly have to haul itself down from 100+mph in cold, wet weather. But for around here? I'm sure a harder pad that didn't dust as much would be just fine.
