Kleen Wheels Brake Dust Shields

Anyone using the Kleen Wheels Brake Dust Shields? If yes, how well do they work and how does it look after installing? Thanks in advance...

Avoid at all costs.

They promote buildup of heat, can cause rotor warping, and are just generally a bad idea. Caveat emptor.

They work by covering up the front of the brake disc so that any dust from the pads gets thrown toward the inside of the wheel well instead of the wheel. On an open spoke wheel design like the 18" amg, they are very visible if someone knows what they're looking at.

I wouldn't recommend them, just for the fact that the dealer service dept would have a field day with them; for street driving I can't see that they'd make that much difference for heat. But that's just opinion.

A different pad material would probably be the better way to go. Germans love to use hard rotor material and super soft pad material which creates all of the dust. I probably would too if I had to design a car that might regularly have to haul itself down from 100+mph in cold, wet weather. But for around here? I'm sure a harder pad that didn't dust as much would be just fine.
