Official Part Numbers Thread
--
Hello, this is my first time on any car forum. Please excuse my ignorance of terms etc.
I have a 2008 c230 Mercedes.
it has a Front differential grinding noise. Diagnosed as the barring. When I drive I can hear the grinding noise. The faster you go the louder it gets.
Mercedes wants me to change the whole transmission (saying that is the only option)
Reading some of the threads for other models - It seems like people have changed just the bearings.
I have been told all sorts of things like the differential box cannot be opened or it is connected to the transmission and cannot be separated etc etc..
Anyone know if the box can be opened and if the bearings can be changed? Even better - anyone know which bearings I need so I can find a mechanic that can order and fix.
I want to make sure I do not cause more issues and cost then needed.
It would be great to be able to take the information to a mechanic and show them that is what would work.. As most do not seem to have too much experience with this issue.
I am worried that something will break in there and cause more damage if I don't get this fixed ASAP
Thanks for your help.
I have a 4matic c230 2008 Mercedes. They never made this in the states - its a Canadian Car.
My front differential bearings are damaged.
Any help on part number or where I can order them would be so appreciated.
Thanks thanks

I live in british columbia, Canada.
I have been at this now for 2 months.
Would someone advice if it is a good idea to take it a part and then use the number on the old bearings to find the right one?
Thanks
I am looking for the Carlsson exhaust for my W204 (2008).
See the link beneath.

Where can I find these or who can make those Exhaust for mine Benz, any idea?
This is my first post here! Not sure if this has been asked before but I'm looking to replace a B pillar front passenger side for my c300 year 2008 sport sedan. I actually found the part number but there appears to have two numbers on it so I have no idea about the differences. They are A2046900287 and A2046902687.
Another thing is that my driver door handle and passenger rear are having scratches and color fading. Do any of you know if I can order new door handles with painted color already? my car's color is mars red.
Thanks

While doing the trans service on my '10 C300 4Matic, discovered that the rubber cover on the bell housing to the torque converter drain plug (little access window) is missing. Anyone have knowledge or ability to pull this part number?
Thanks
Thanks for the parts numbers for the Sports brake caliper set.
I am currently thinking of replacing my standard brake calipers on my w204 C200 CGI with the above sports brake package. Questions is are there any other parts that I need to get in order to complete my brakes upgrade exercise?
Thanks for your advice😊

Thanks! Yes that's what I'm looking for. Do the GLK bins fit the C300 though?
