C180K Elegance 2008

I have a 2008, C180K that has done less that 1500 miles, to date. It was bought from new via a local MB dealer and has had the strangest problem from day one. At low revs (1000 rpm) there is a weird knocking noise from the passenger side rear of the car (rhd). The noise is intermitent and the car has been back to the dealer once, they advised that they thought it was a valve, which they repalced. They could still hear it despite the valve replacement so "padded" insulation around the valve to eliminate the noise. Needless to say the noise is still there and driving me insane! I fell as though I should ask for a new car! Anyone had any similar experiences?

I've looked, thanks. It seems as though it happens to a few cars and not to all. Looks as though I'm unlucky but after spending almost £30k I'm not going to let it go. Some noise I can deal with but myself abd the dealers technician agree that the level of noise is unacceptable.

2008 c180k knocking noise
you certainly are not alone, mine 2008 c180k also have similar intermitent knocking noise ( sounds like helicopter ) had checked with the dealer and was told that the noise is from regeneration valve. very annoying.
will send the car for re-inspect. anyone know how to fix this problem ?
