2008 Black Out C350 Saks Edition / 87 VW GTI
Not getting my C63 for now
Not getting my C63 for now, I went to the dealer today, but I was offered 31K for my C350 Saks edition. I’m willing to lose some but not 12K so I got my deposit back and walk away.

Seems to be a trend here with trade in value on this new car, I hope this is just a current thing and the price holds up over the long run. I do know that when I traded in my 2004 BMW 3 series it was worth $2k more than a C class of the same year with the same options and same mileage.

I don't think the value will improve as the 2009 models will be out very soon.
Perhaps, it might be best to sell privately or do a consignment deal with the stealership.

2008 Black Out C350 Saks Edition / 87 VW GTI
I couldn’t sleep last night thinking that I could be driving my C63 today, when I purchased my C350 Saks I was told that the Saks edition will hold its value better than any other regular MB but its all BS

Same valuation I got for mine, -12k from my purchase price.
I've been doing a fair bit of car shopping trying to get rid of this thing, and I'm finding that, at least in my area, luxury car sales are in the toilet. I'm getting rock bottom pricing on cars in stock, but awful trade-in values.
I just wish I was in a better position to be buying because there are some spectacular deals to be had.
The best valuation I got for my trade was -8k from purchase price. Which, unfortunately, still doesn't buy me out of my lease.

By the way, the dealership your trying to trade your C350 in to...is it the same dealership you bought it from? From past experience I've gotten more than what the car is worth from the dealership I bought it from. Could be that I'm a repeat customer and that I'm buying another car from them, or could just be my particular dealership.

I don't think the Saks Edition will hold its value any more than other W204's.
Only someone who really notices or loves the rare interior color will maybe pay a premium for it. The Saks Edition is only available in black also limited on certain options that people may want, such as the P2 package, panoroof, etc.
