Could you post a couple close up pictures? I'm sure a lot of us here are eager to see the smoked installed on a dark car. Thanks!!!

I just ordered mine smoked on my black.. I didn't even think about the silver seam cause I decided that yes, no matter how it is, its gonna be better then the stock yellow. About the seam? If it looks really bad, I believed it would be easily customize by myself or anybody. Lol yeah Stickyz, it would be nice to check out ur ride man!

sorry, crap camera...these are the smoked. as you can clearly see there is a stroke around outside that is lighter or not clear. if that area was black or perfectly clear the side marker would appear smaller and look better. hope these help/

I just got my smoked ones today. I'm havin a crap of a time trying to get the OE Side markers off.

Someone let me know if i'm doing this correctly..

Do I need to unscrew the screw in the back of the OE markers? Seems to be a housing holding it in.

Sorry as I just attempted to install them and its about 1am and I have no flashlight lol. I'll give it a shot tomorrow at work.

I'm assuming you were able to get to the back of the assembly through the wheel well. Once you unscrew the light bulb, there's this tab thing on the upper middle of the assembly. This attaches the unit to the housing. Press down on the tab and keep wiggling it around. This is tough because it won't come out unless things get aligned just right, so just keep wiggling and twisting it around till it pops off. No screws needed.

Well putting the new clear ones in is a tough job for me, I just installed them and it drove me nuts trying to hook them in from outside the bumper into the holes on the housing inside the bumper...

BTW, I also notice that no matter how hard I tried, the is a small "opening" along the lower rear corner of the clear marker? normal?

I don't think you installed it correctly if you have a small opening. Something didn't get hooked on correctly.

Yeah, all the instructions have been how to disassemble, but not install. It took me a while to get it down. There might be better methods, but this is what I did. Don't align the black housing of the unit flat against the inside of the fender. That's how it'll eventually be, but you need to first angle the bottom so that it's almost sticking out of the fender. This will give you an easy access to the place where you're supposed to hook in the sidemarker unit. Once you have the two hooks secure, twist the housing unit slowly back to a vertical position so that it'll be flat against the back fender. This will also pull the unit in with it as it's attached by the hooks. make sure that the bottom of the unit's nook thingy are inside the fender as you slide the bottom part of the unit inside. Try to get the "tube" part of the unit to line up with the housing tube hole on the top middle. Once it's aligned, you should be able to fully close both units together with the main clip. If you did it right with all clips in place, it should fit tightly and securely on with no wiggle and no hole openings.

That's the best way I have to explain it

While I don't have derspeed's unit, I'm pretty sure you can discard that black housing and just use the one that's already inside the car. This way you don't have to worry about removing the black housing unit and sliding yours in.
