wow, thats not much of a stagger, hmm, seems that 255 rear is a little wide for an 8.5" rear. but who am i to argue with mb engineers right.

probably if you run the same size tire on each, don't know how that will effect your handling though. but i wouldn't run different rolling diameters on a 4matic either.

you could probably go wider tire in front and slimmer in back, maybe 235/40 all around. i don't know

The info was compiled from what I remembered (offset, bolt pattern) and other numbers pulled from www.edmunds.com (tires and width). I went to its New Cars section, and optioned a C-class. The website could be wrong, of course, but I doubt it.

Canadian 4MATIC comes staggered with the 17"... so no need to keep the same size tires.

sorry to the op cuz we arent helping you find some wheels but some good info in this thread.

what is it? kind of confusing on carsdirect but might be 225/45 and 245/40. i didnt do the math but if the rolling diameters are equal or extremely close i could see it working.

i guess in theory you could put tire as wide as the wheel can hold as long as the rolling diameters are the same otherwise you might stress your vehicle. thats just my guess on a awd car. the amg 18's stock would be

i am selling my 18 amg with 900 miles on it but i aint selling it for 1000 or anywhere around that cheap u guys no how much they cost so i wont sell it any less then like 2300 tthe cheapest

2300-2500 is a fair price imo for wheels and tires. That's the price point I set mine at as well. I understand people are always looking for a bargain, but these are original AMG parts and is already at a discount at that price. Tires alone are about $1K, so the wheels are really only $1300-1500. This is a bargain.

picking up the C350 wednesday the latest no optional 18"s, but for $2300-2500 someone's selling their take offs I rather get myself a set of BBS or OZs for just a little more.

It may be a little more for BBS or OZ (unless you get the cheaper ugly style), but not if you include the rubbers which will be another $1k and tax if you buy it from a store. $2300-2500 is including good condition tires. Selling my set for $2400..maybe negotiable to $2300 I guess. Including Conti tires with 1k miles on them. Basically comes out to ~$900 for tires and $1400 for wheels ($350 each wheel).

I would pay some where between $1750-2000 for the 18" optional take offs. oh wellz probably wait a while before changing the wheels. what wheel you gonna get next?

yea, the BBS and OZ will be $2400 or even more ish just with the rims. My BBS RE on my 32 was around $750 each plus tires. lol consider the weight difference I think spending a little more is not that bad. haven't searched on how much does the optional 18" weight.

Unless their in less than new condition, it'll be hard finding a set for < 2k. Considering that you could probably sell stock 17" for 1K, it just wouldn't make economical sense for the seller to sell near new set for less than what they paid for, pay interest for, and waited for. Still, I think around $350 per wheel for near new set and $900 for near new tires is a fair price. As for what wheels I'm going with next...see sig :p

rims are at very fair price, but tires once they been driven are hard to put a price on them.

There is a ebay auction right now for a set of AMG 18" for $2,425. I have contacted the seller apparently he has 2 sets and would sell one set for $2,400 straight up. I would buy it if I didn't have a 4Matic..... I am looking now to get 17" AMG if anyone is selling theirs PM me!

Ah, I see, he posted it on ebay canada. 4 bidders and up to $2,425 with 3 days left. I guess I should do the same as him since looks like most people who want these live in canada. I'd rather keep it off ebay so they can't take a cut.

Yeah, I couldn't upgrade to these when I purchased, I tried hard to pay that extra $1000 for these, salesmen can't add them for me. I went to the dealership and got a quote, $891 per wheel!!!!!
