I heard my dealer said that the July production had been delay, I am wondering if that's the case ?

My dealer confirm this last week.
Luckily he said I won't affected as he just received my serial number.
But for the other 2009 buyers it might be the case, he spoke of a 3 weeks delay.

+1 I ordered an '09 C350 and was told it will be here next friday, 7/11. What is this change, and should I request for a different car?

 

How is it that you are getting a 2009 delivered next Friday, but no one on any of the MB boards can provide any info on the 2009 pricing, confirm all of the changes, etc...In my experience on other boards (S2000, Acura, BMW, etc) there is always someone from the "inside" that can provide good accurate information well before the news becomes public. Are there no insiders from MBUSA or dealership that participate on these boards?

And as for delivery date of 7/11, Im just going by what the dealer told me when I ordered the car early June... they looked up the car in their NetStar system and found one with the specs I want scheduled to go to another dealer, so they just did a dealer trade. They told me their system says that it will arrive at the port here (Jacksonville, FL) on the 10th and should be at the dealer by the 11th. Maybe my dealer is lying... I hope not.

So I have to ask, when did the 2009 production start for US spec W204's???

I think something is wrong here; perhaps your dealer is misleading you. I have had an MY09 C350W on order for European delivery since mid-May. The US model '09 production is not slated to begin until near the end of July. My order has an assigned VIN number and scheduled assembly date of August 10, 2008, and the build slot is just the first from my dealership. The car would ordinarily arrived at the dealer in early October but, beacuse my order "hi-jacked" the dealer's pre-order I will be accepting delivery on Monday, September 8th in Sindelfingen.

I still do not have the final pricing, but I finally did get copies of the MY09 Dealers Ordering Guide for the C350 on June 28th when I finalized the order specs at the dealership.
