5-Star Grill Swap

Recently bought C300 Luxury & am interested in purchasing & personally installing the Sport grill and blank piece. How available are the parts & how difficult is the swap?

There's usually a sport grill posted on ebay every now and then. You can buy it from many other mercedes parts vendors. Grilles are easy to change. Will take you all of 5 minutes if that. There's a DIY posted for painting your grille. Just follow the beginning instructions for grille removal.

I'm thinking of doing the same, but still undecided as to which look I prefer?
I kinda like the sports one, but given that it's so more common now, I'm erring on the side of sticking with the luxury grill as it's less common on the roads.

Anyway, are you also planning on replacing the upright bonnet star with a flat one? I was thinking of leaving the upright one - mainly because I love the sight of the 'gunsight' star from the driver/passenger seating position.

2008 R350 & 2008 C300
Might be nice to have both styles of grills. I have a Sport model and like the big star in the center, but I think the traditional grill would look great in it as well. Seeing how its not all that big of a deal to remove the grill, it might be nice to switch the grills out every year or so lol.

Kinda thinking the same thing only from the Luxury direction.

I like this idea. I'm gonna go do it.
