blaupunkt audio system
has anybody messed around with blaupunkt subwoofers or anything?? i was thinking of putting a subwoofer and an amp and i heard blaupunkt is pretty good...

I would say No. They used to be pretty good back in the 80's & early 90's but were only known for head units. When they started making speakers, subs and amps everything went down hill.
If you want clean bass- stick with brands like JL AUDIO, Image Dynamics (IDMAX series), or Diamond Audio Pro Hex series. I have used JL and my personal favorite MB Quart in my previous competition systems and I was very pleased with the sound quality and output levels.

I agree, JL Audio for subwoofers by all means. MB Quart or Infinity for the car's regular speakers... if you are thinking of a new headunit, I strongly recommend Kenwood Excelon. Also, the kenwood amplifiers are fantastic - avoid Blaupunkt amps at all cost.

blaupunkt is garbage.....I used all eclipse stuff for my car and it sounds amazing but cost me 3 grand.....they use blaupunkt in all pontiac cars, my friend has a g8 GT and the system BLOWS

I have the w211 c220cdi wiht very basic stereo (audio 20)and would love to upgrade to a HK system. but im very afraid to rip my car apart for the installation. So im going to put in a sub only. Can i draw a parallel line from my rear door speaker to go to the sub? and power the sub from the main battery line in the trunk? pls help/ thanks
