I've been thinking of removing the resonator on the c300 with SL55 AMG exhaust retrofitted on my car...but I don't have any knowledge of the difference between X-pipe and straight pipe....as some of you were talking about this..
can somebody educate me on the difference between the two? And what's the impact going to be?

Thanks much!
x= will slow down the flow of the exhaust, causing it not to be as loud of an output sound. there is a thread on here where some one already did both to his vehicle, and preferred the x pipe over the straight. he also has sound clip on youtube.com. sorry i dont have the link, but just use search (c300 exhaust) it will pop up.

it literally looks like an x. sorry i don't have a pic but its that simple. make sure you find or fabricate a stainless x pipe. better sound, no discoloration & it won't rust or break apart at the welds.
