Synchronizing Phone with C350 MM Bluetooth
I apologize for my ignorance ahead of time. My sister just purchased a C350 - first Benz in the family, awesome car.
We have successfully connected to both her RAZR V3c (Verizon S/W .04) and my RAZR V3xx (AT&T S/W R26111MLD-AS_U_96.B0.0AR) and make phone calls. Neither phone synchronizes address books to the COMMAND head unit though. Due to Verizon's crippling of the phones, I wouldn't exepct it to work seemlessly, but I've read on multiple forums that the V3xx has successfully sync'd to the unit.
According to Motorola, the V3xx supports both SAP and HFP, is this something AT&T could have crippled on the phone? Am I doing something wrong? Short of individually sending contacts, is there anything else I can do?
I have read the other threads on this forum and found them helpful, but none have really answered my questions. Any help is appreciated.

OK, so I've tried a Moto RAZR V3xx, Moto RAZR V3, Sony Ericsson w580i, BlackBerry Curve 8310, iPhone and iPhone 3G, Moto RAZR V3c, Sony Ericsson K850i to no avail.
I was hoping you guys could shed some light on my situation. All phones can successfully be paired with the car. None of the phones txfr address books. I've checked all the links in all the searched posts on this topic, I've been the the MB USA sight (worthless) and I've been to the dealer three times already. I've tried leaving contacts on the phone and copied them to the SIM cards of the GSM phones from above. What am I doing wrong?
I'm supposed to head to the dealer on Friday to have the service department take a look at it, hook up the computer and possibly work their magic.
Any ideas? And I'm not talking about sending contacts one at a time to the car.
Thanks, any and all help is appreciated.

Hands Free Profile (HFP - a bluetooth protocol) compatibility is something the Benz does not come with. I really do not understand why they didn't add this to the bluetooth system, but they didn't. To get the functionality you want, you'll need to purchase the HFP or SAP bluetooth cradle.
Alternatively, if you simply want your address book to be loaded onto the internal drive, every MB dealer has been instructed to offer this service for free.

Okay your in luck im a Verizon Bluetooth tech the V3c is not compatible the black berry iphone will work to sync the contacts you have to go to MB settings that should say Import Phonebook when you find that option the phone will disconnect with the MB Handsfree system and the you go to your phones bluetooth menu click the MB phonesystem then click option and click send Vcard/namecard.

So I kind of figured that the Verizon V3c won't work. As with the BlackBerry instructions, this is how I've sent contacts as business cards - this isn't syncing the address books.
I've read that North American W204s come with HFP whereas Euro W204s come with SAP. It's been hit or miss with W204s, as I've had luck syncing my phone with a showroom model, but not with ours.
Could it be a disabled feature in the COMMAND/Bluetooth interface?
Are these cradles available in the US?
Thanks

So the service manager and their shop foreman (apparent COMMAND specialist) "solved" the issue. Well, all they did, and inferred that they knew how to do was to trxfr the phonebook from the phone to the COMMAND.
They claimed that US models will not pull the phonebook from the phone, only accept contacts being pushed to the COMMAND from the phone.
Oh well .... we'll wait for a fix.

well, i just kinda stumbled onto this. i have a sony ericsson c902 which runs on basically the same os as your k850.
you only get one shot at this, then afterward if you have new contacts you will have to send them individually.
go to:
contacts - new contact - PRESS options - select SEND ALL CONTACTS - Via Bluetooth.
this should send all your contacts.
like i said, all the new ones thereafter have to be added individually as i heard it will double up the previous.
