You would think that some structural support would be lost when the B pillar is removed. Also how about the side airbags the door interiors look like they have been replaced.

But I must admit IF I had to see a door mod I would prefer this to lambo doors on a C. Now convert the back doors to suicide doors that I would like to see.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
That would be cool for a coupe it if came that way. It would suck if the mechanism broke. You'd need a plastic garbage bag taped to the opening to keep rain out.

I've seen this before. It's always bothered me that in a rainstorm it would be very impractical. It's bad enough with a normal door and window, but with this mod, the whole side of the interior (maybe both sides) would be exposed to rain.

Consider a heavy rain accompanied with wind. Uggh. Would make me want to ALWAYS park in a garage.

Z1 went straight down into the door sills very cool in my book. This sort of swings into a pocket under the car.

Also imagine a very bad accident and the recuse workers not knowing how to get the door open.

I've heard people say that Lambo doors are a biatch when you get T-boned in a car accident. I think these doors would just implode... Not much protection if you ask me, would crumple like a beer can smitten by prometheus LOL.
