I'm sure if I raced anyone I'd lose lol. I miss having a fast car. Other than that I love it.

in a nut shell:

-looks great
-pretty heavy car, so it's slow
-rides smooth
-great at cruising speed, not so great acceleration

I have the c350 so i think it is decently fast enough.

I'm sure the 350 is decently quick. I would only consider a c63 "fast". I'm used to having way faster cars than what a c350 puts down, but we all gotta grow up sometime! Can't be riding around in little boosted beaters forever, but I'll have a nice toy to play around with again sooner or later...I'm not gonna waste my money trying to make my c300 fast, will never happen. Well, not for me anyway.

C'mon, we all know Mercedes is not known for speed, but rather safety and comfort.

I love everything of mine.

yeah, I didn't buy this car to track it. It's pretty much "fast enough" for daily driving. I'd place a wager that most bought this car mainly for the style and status of owning an MB.

C63 is a whole new story though

I'm with you guys, I didn't buy the car thinking it was going to be fast..lets face it the C300 with 4matic is just adequate. Funny if you go read the C63 board many owners are finding out the hard way that their cars aren't as fast as they thought ha ha.

In my c300 (not really labeled as a fast car) I have beaten a new VW r32, a 05 330ci with dinan exhaust, chip, intake and pulley, and a 2004 r32 with exhaust...so all in all im not too disappointed

I beat a large black rabbit (4 legs) on West River Drive, but I had to pedal fast.

Lol yeah I'd be quite happy with a 4 door sedan that could hit 4.5 seconds..but I would also have enough smarts not to try and race a Z06 ha ha.

I love mine. Haven't had a single issue.

I couldn't agree more with the W203 styling..or lack there of.

But it doesn't have to be that way.

I definitely didn't purchase the C350 Sport for speed but rather for the love of the new front body style. The back end is average but the front makes up for it completely. PLUS, here in MD, there is an endless amount of Bimmer 3-series running around. The new C is definitely considered rare when it squares off with its German counterpart.

I would contribute something new and great, but everyone's already said what I would've said.

So:

+1 I got this car because it looks great. It's the first M-B I've ever considered buying or even wanting. And I know the C300 is interminably slow. Will never be fast. FI is great, but at what cost? There are cheaper yet faster cars out there.

+1 Sleepers FTW. After warranty.

+1 A lot of the C63 owners think it's the greatest/fastest car in the world. Of course, C63 is a great car, but come on now, Z06?

Yeah I realize this is a MB board and no one ever wants to hear anything negative about MB's, but its quite funny how people under estimate the power of the Z06 just because its American made. I know for a fact there are a couple believers over on the C63 board now ha ha ha.

Get used to the lingo...lol

http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...term=mad+props

1) Used when someone does something that is appreciated or respected. It as an alternative to thank you.

2) "mad" = extreme; "props" = support (in a congratulatory sense)

3) a large amount of props (congratulations)
