Why do some cell phones not show the signal strength through bluetooth on the MM scrn

Why do some cell phones not show the signal strength through bluetooth on the MM screen?

My old sony ericson showed the signal on the MM screen just perfect, but my new LG does not...

Anybody else have this issue with no signal strength being shown?

Is there a fix?

It must be up to the phone if it broadcasts the info.

I've got a cheap Boost Mobile prepaid Motorola phone and it shows the signal strength.

Phone is garbage but I wanted to try bluetooth and Sprint/Nextel before signing a commitment. AT$T just sucks in L.A. anymore. (it used to be great when it was PacBell / Cingular)

Any AMG Thats Around..
i might be wrong but the antenna indicator shows something else when bluetooth is used..... I think i remember reading it somewhere.. In a manual of some type. If it was the puck/dongle in MHI cars the little white instruction manual, or if the 204 is prewired in the owners manual...

i want to say it shows bluetooth reception and only 1 or 2 bars light? Something weird like that...

also maybe more in this case..... if the phone is not on the approved phone list... the softwear in the car is not compatable.... So they do not promise full functionality of non-approved phones.... Like phone books, ect...
