As far a Lieb, he must be just a puppet and the puppeteers are the clowns calling the shots, because they sure are crapping all over the US with the way that things have been going with the C-Class.

I drove the new 2009 C350 today at my dealer. As many of you know it is still the same....
I went over most of the things people here on this forum have been arguing
over for the last year.
The following is CONFIRMED for US 2009-1 model year C's:[LIST][*]Exterior is exact same as previous year.

i wouldn't call BS soo quick. MB has been working on few turbo engines. namely B200 turbo, A200 turbo as the test bench. I'm sure the V6 turbo of some sort will follow suit so they can compete with Audi and BMW.
no Power Folding Mirror on 2009 is
because the mirror is HUGE!
btw, are the bi-xenon standard on 350 or still an option for 2009?

The blame actually comes from numerous market studies and inputs by the bean counters.
I was involved in quite a few VW/Audi studies in the past and the more I sat through these sessions and discussed ideas with both engineers and the finance folks the more things came to light.
The general majority of the public doesn't care for or understand many of the features that of a vehicle and therefore they are labled as secondary or undesirable. To cut costs, these options are eliminated.
Case and point:
Folding mirrors are not found to be useful or cared for in the US v. Europe, where the streets are narrow that it's almost a requirement.
American buyers want big engines (C300/350) and luxe features (memory seats/wheel) as standard. So to keep costs inline (esp with crappy exchange rates) certain features are taken away to make way for others. Also, these options are not available individually as it's more cost effective to make them available as packages.
Unfortunately the guys that get screwed are the enthusiasts or the crazies (like me) who are on an endless quest to go OEM+

It doesn't always work out well, but MB actually listens. Too many complaints about quirkiness of passenger side-view fold down in reverse, they take it away. Too many complaints about water spots on stainless steel running boards, no problem they make them brushed and not shiny.
MB listens to those JD Power complaints, unfortunately sometimes you get what you ask for.

Hey from Canada
I have owned an MB of one sort or another since 82. let me tell you that MB Canada is no bright light to deal with either.
I tried on a couple of occasions to make things right for my cars and they are hopeless.
As for the B, it's not selling up here to any extent.
What we need is a Diesel C Class up here.
I have a C300 4Matic on order but I'd rather have an oil burner![drive](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/driving.gif)
Oh, ya, and why no Diesel 4Matic E, I'd go for that instead.
..jack

in U.S. We dont have 3-zone climate control for rear seat passenger..., no quick park, no rearview camera, no key-less go, no button for sport tuning suspension, and no manual-shift mode.
