Issues with C280
Took delivery of C280 in Dec 07. Problems encoutered so far after 7,000 kms :
1. Engine very noisy at start up for about 30 seconds.
2. Navigation system is a total lemon often giving wrong instructions eg right turn where there is no right turn signpost.
3. Once engine has reached operating temperature there is constant sound inside the cabin similiar to a jack hammer at a distance. As per MB technician it is a noisy recirculating valve.
4. Auto diming rear view mirror is too dark.
5. Side mirror images are too distorted for driver side.
6. Sound system does not store the last volume .
7. Sun roof stutters on opening and closing

Hard luck. Shouldnt everything be covered under warranty. Get them Fixed. looks to be minor issues. Now sure about mirror dimming. Did you compare with other cars?
About the Navigation. Probably maps need update.
Sound system does not store the last volume? not sure. probably a difficult fix or no fix.
