i want to send my tails to jons tinted tails
but i do not know how to remove them.

any help lol?

 

PM Flame3g. He swapped his for LED tails.

 

Its not a hard job to take them out, just have to be a little savvy. I will be putting mine back in and tinting tomorrow so should have some pics on Thursday.

For the tails, from memory a week ago.
Take out the center plastic where the trunk latch is by pulling it away from the body of the car. It snaps in place so just have to tug on it gently.

Remove the centers of the plastic push pins the holds the trunk carpet in place, then take out the base as well. Pull the carpet back. This should expose the plugs for the tails.

The (3) bulbs are in a housing that clips in. Unplug the lights, then unclip the housing from tails. The clips are gray on mine. Black foam cusion padding is between the housing and the tails.

Look for 3 nickel colored bolts that hold the tails into the body of the car and remove them. The whole light should then come out from the outside.

Just tear into it!
