How can I use handsfree, without having Radio/Aux/Ipod on?
If i turn the AUDIO 20 unit completely off, the handsfree doesn't work anymore.
Am I supposed to just lower the volume of the radio?
And if so, will I still here the phone?

Hi
Models differ around the world, but on NA versions, if you use the phone while the radio is on, the radio automatically mutes during the phone call. I only use the phone via the steering wheel buttons. Try it and see!

thanks reply, but that is not exactly what i mean.
what if i do NOT want to listen to the radio, but still want to use my handsfree/bluetooth?
(I can not switch the AUDIO 20 off, cos then bluetooth no longer works)

This has been covered elsewhere, but essentially the Command is either on or off. And when it's off, ie the Command screen closed by default, bluetooth is still available via the MFD display in the speedo surround and controlled via the buttons on the steering wheel.

not for AUDIO 20. if i switch it off, bluetooth is off as well.
But if i leave it on, i hear the radio or the ipod (which is always hooked up)
it's impossible to have it on without hearing either...

finally managed to test it myself.
have to turn volume of radio completely down.
when phone rings you will hear the ring + voice on the stereo
(ie volume comes back up)

Turning the radio/ipod/cd off, means i have to swith AUDIO 20 off completely.
i can not have it on, without hearing anything.
so either have to turn the volume down, or put ipod on pause.
or switch AUDIO 20 on the moment i receive/make a phonecall
But it's still weird that it can't be switched to ONLY phone.
Anycase thanks for all the replies!

When I first enter the car the bluetooth connection is made without the need to switch on command, and the phone works fine, however, I have to accept and reject calls on the handset.
Whilst driving along if I switch command on, I am then able to use all buttons (steering+console). If after a while I decide I no longer want to listen to music and switch command off, the bluetooth connection is lost completely.
The only way to make connection again is to switch on command otherwise connection is established again after switching the ignition off, waiting for the car to power down, then restarting it
I think it should be able to make the connection again after command is switched off.
Has any one experienced this?
