just got it done.

some quick pics. after putting the grille in I realize my hood is mis-aligned the entire hood is about 1-2mm to the driver side. had to drop the hood from my chest height instead of my waist height to close it properly too. dropping the hood from waist height only secure the driverside.

Any other opinions on the quality? Anyone unhappy with the plastic? I am on standby.

the plastic used on the grille is harder plastic compare to the softer material. don't really have a complain because I never expect this to be exactly like oem.

Quote: Petje, it looks awesome!!! Any comments on the overall finish and construction of the C63 styled grille?
My comments, Grill looks very good, perfect fittment, overall finish is good in my opinion...

dont have the problem that Madracer said:

Quote: The problem with C63 style grill is a bit higher than stock one.
You have to put down the enging cover harder.
I know because that's my car, I used it for temp, I am doing some big project right now.

So im totally satisfied, it's alligned good, so i dont have a gap.

Quote: Just received mine as well. The plastic looks cheap compare to OEM, but acceptable. It will look great from the distance, not close up.

I'm at work and don't have the camera and will try to install it tonight.

Thanks again to Madracer!
What's the problem with yours?? Mine looks also good from close up, compare to what we paid, its super.

Looks also good on your car

That's strange...I sent the BEFORE and AFTER photos to like 15 of my non mercedes owning friends...and most all of them chose the stock grille. They said the bottom looks like an acura...and not as chromy....

Hello,

I sell original new C63 grill's for 240€ without shippingcosts. It are original packed parts. I work for a official Mercedes-Benz dealer in Belgium. Grill's are at our dealer in 2 days after ordering. You can count one week for shipping.

I've ordered my own grill. I've got it friday, and I will place pictures this weekend on the forum.

it's not chromy? the grille has more chrome than the standard.
To me the C63 style grille has both aggressive style while keeping its pristine luxury. its elegant and not economical, IMO the cleanest way to modify the front end. besides the SL's have had that profile for generations its a traditional design.

ya i agree... on silver body, the c63 style looks kinda weak and a little too chromy... not bad, but the two toneness of the stock grill looks better for some reason and more agressive....

must be because you need the c63 hood to get the full effect...

Wow, the grilles looks great installed! The quality and fit looks very nice.

I'm still on the fence on this as I have a Iridium Silver and I really like how the silver on my stock grill matches the paint.
I'm still really curious how the the C63 grill looks with the silver mesh.

I know some of you want to get that grille, but if there are no enough orders I can't get discount. Let's see how many people want this, just put your name down.
