Q about thermometer & windnoise coming from window

Hi

1)

cleaned my car the other day (manually with high pressure)

afterwards i drove around for another hour,
but the temperature stayed exactly at 18 °c,
(when it should have been at at least 29 °c)

The next day, it was functioning normal again.
Did it maybe short circuit because water got into the system/sensor?

2)

there's windnoise coming from the right back window/door.
Pretty sure it's the window, which doesn't seem to be "airtight".

It's not an extremely loud noise, but can easily be heard
since the car itself is so silent.

This noise is definitely not present on the other side.

Anyone else has/had problems with this & know if it's a "common" problem?

I had this problem with my previous car, and know it's very personal whether
or not these little noises bother a person.

my previous garage did not really understand what problem was
("but it''s just a bit of wind????), though they did fix it for me.

Any input would be appreciated, so i can go to the garage without feeling
like a complete idiot / **** person, but just as a "normal" perfectionist

Can't say about the thermometer but I had the wind noise. I came from the door itself not the window my AD fixed it during the 1000 mile service.

Every car I've had with a temp readout is affected by a car wash....often takes a lot of time for the sensor to "recover" from getting wet and cold. I've never worried about it much, as long as it starts reading again in a reasonable time [usually an hour or less - it depends].

Anyway, it's not a defect or "short circuit".

Have your dealer check the door seals - there have been a few bad ones out there.

I think if any machinery is cleaned with a high pressure gun there is always a risk of damage with water entering electrical equipment or mechanical seals. I personally would never use a high pressure jet on my paintwork or wheels or engine. Most mechanical repair workshops love them !!

it's just one of those things they have at a carwash.

i'd have to keep it aimed on one spot for about a week before it even starts to
do a bit of damage.

It's definitely NOT a sandblaster lol
