Canadian Navigation problem
Im in toronto, On, and my navigation sucks. You cant search for anything by name. If i type in say best buy or toys r us in search only a a few would show up and the ones that do show up are in the states..If im lucky enough to have search for something that has a ton of listings i would have to go thru each and everyone one of them to find a canadian listing then still i would not know which one the closes cause all it shows is the city and address.. ive brought my car to two dealers and they cant do anything about it.. If you do a search for POIs nearest you, you can only choose whatevers in the catagories pre-programmed into the navi, but sometimes i just want to go to a specific store..

honestly, how stupid could mother !@$#%$ Mercedes be?
one time i looked for walmart by name... and wow, i bet you could guess, i got like 5000 listings... I had to click each one and find out which state is was in... after clicking about 10 out of the 5000, I gave up and said FARK this POS

My father in law's navigation system in his lexus RX350 had the same problem, but then I realized that he didn't set up his 'home' address properly, and the system kept thinking that he is from the states....
I am not sure if that helps, i don't have any experience with the benz's nav

I wonder if the S classes are like this too.. I wish you can set the home address but cant even.. It seems like a simple fix .. all they have to do is change how the search results is displayed.. i thought MB would receive enough complaints by now to have an update but no, they told me that just the way it is..

don't just go into POI from main menu.
enter province or state first and enter city as well. from there, go to POI.
POI list will only populate within city.

Australian version of the navigation system is just as bad. It seems that the software used by MB is simply not up to standard. I am very unhappy with the navigation system.

Yeah but even so you can only choose a destination through the catagories provided (restaurant, hospital, entertainment, etc.)...
