Drilled Rotors on front not back?????!!!!

I have a C350 and I am just wondering if anyone knows why Benz put drilled rotors on the front not on the back all around....I get so much breakdust on the back wheels but hardly any in the front. Usually on most cars it the other way around....anybody purchase a set for the back?

2011 BMW 335xi titanium silver.
It would be separation of models from the AMG and non-AMG C-classes or putting better brakes where most of the stopped power is required?

You could just upgrade your rear to a larger size...

I am planning to change my rear rotors to x-drilled, but trying to spec some out where the dealership won't be glaring at me when I bring in the car for service. I am sure Zimmermann will make them soon for our cars.

Dude your lucky the 350 gets drilled in the front. Just look at all the money MB put in your car.

As for most cars get them all the way around......what most cars are you talking about. This is not a C63, that car does get 4 drilled disc's.

Your issue with large amounts of dust on the back, well that might be an issue. Id take your car in and ask. Your right about that. Fronts should be dirtier. Might be something wrong with your rear breaks.

Old subject, plenty of threads on it. The backs get dustier than the front. Something to do with how the brakes are applied, possibly to better balance the stopping, to avoid nose-diving. Seems all the Cs do it.

Most of us just clean the wheels more frequently.....

Mine front wheel's seem to get dirtier than my rear's. Not a whole lot more, if anything the same amount.

Drilled or slotted rotors in front is normal practice for everybody. More dust in back is normal for the W204 which has been pointed out many times. And if you think you need drilled rotors in back (you don't), be prepared to replace the calipers, a possibility.

I buy spray wheel cleaner by the five liter jug and use a lot of it. I have been paying a big price for P21S for a long time but I think I'll switch to Griot's (got a free sample) which works just as well and costs a lot less.
