The nature of the ceramic non metallic tint should not conduct or interfere with electronics.
Went to the same place the dealer gets it done and got a good discount. After tinting my last car, it's hard not to tint the new one.
i think I'll go with the non-ceramic. With money saved I may use for other mods.
Thanks AZN, you are in the tinting business right?. I'll then take your authorized word for it.

So if it's a couple of bucks - spring for it. Probably worth it in the long haul. I unfortunately live in a 50-50 cliamate (hot/cold) so we don't have many ceramic shops. But you coming from NC, you see your share of heat - may well be worth it just for the heat rejection.
Lastly - IF ANY reason... you like using radar detectors? Yep - metallic (non-ceramic) films block that signal. That alone is reason to go ceramic.
Maybe by a few degrees, but like I said, if it's hot, it's hot...100 degrees and 102 degrees in the car feels the same. If you're sensitive enough to be able to tell the difference in 3-4 degrees, then yeah, go for it.
2) ceramic will withstand time better and not discolor.
This totally depends on the quality of film. High quality metallic film can last 15 years.
3) ceramic is typically a thicker substrate and will act as a better shatter resistant material.
Your vehicle windows already have shatter resistant material on it....this is the wearing two condoms argument..
4) people have had issues with FM and AM signal with non-ceramic films... those antennae are NOT on the roof and are on the rear window.
Unless you live in the middle of nowhere and listen to stations that are already weak signal, I highly doubt you'll notice any difference. If you do like to listen to stations that area already weak signals prior to tinting, then ok, an argument can be made here.
5) you MAY have issues with GPS antenna as that is inside the dashboard, not on the roof.
different type of signal.
