See the pic to see what i am talking about and how it looks like this one goes all the way to the end and looks more uniform..
the ones in the group buy stop at theedge of the glass only...
anybody ever see an OEM one and see which way is the way it is supposed to be?
I think the way in this attached pic looks cleanest...
makes me want to return mine to brad from the group buy for not providing true oem style as advertised since his seems to be about an 1/2" too short...

Good question. I’m also intrigued by this. Mine is aligned with the edges of the glass, but I think it should go all the way.
BTW. I'm still having problems with one edge (driver's side) lifting up. I'll have to redo the whole thing (just dont have time right now).

I think we got ripped off! I am going by a dealer at lunch today to see what they say about OEM...
if they show me it should go all the way and my knock off from taiwan doesn't....
I am going to file a dispute with paypal and get a refund from CARKING BRAD

I dont understand you guys? What the heck are you talikng about. Go all the way where? The OEM one fits perfectly on the back window. Thats it, its only touching the glass and does not extend to any body panels. It doesnt touch the roof or the C pillars. So what are you talking about?

mine from carking looks like OEM one...sits on glass...how could it go past the glass...there would be nothing for spoiler to attach to?
I think it looks great BTW and have had zero issues with quality or spoiler staying intact

Did you get that pic from the ebay ad that shows a CF and an unpainted spoiler? Someone else posted it as the $150 CF spoiler. If so, look at the unpainted version. It does not appear to go that far. The advertiser probably just had it resting on the window.

Ok Guys. To answer your question. What Brad sold us is true OEM style. I know this because I am the one that helped him order the OEM roof spoiler and shipped it to him to make the replica. I personally put the OEM spoiler on my car before shipping to him to see how it looks (of course, not actually stick it on). It only goes the edge of the glass. It doesn't go all the way to the car body (painted sides).
If you are still not happy with the spoiler, just return it. But I seriously doubt you are gonna find better deal or anything different from what we have gotten.

that picture with the red C w the unpainted roof spoiler is just extended to the body. If that person post a wide picture from the top we probably can see that one side was just closer to the body panel and the other is not even lined up on the windows edge. Think Logic.

I think we got a good deal on the GB from Carking.... make that an excellent deal.
Yes, I'll have to redo de tape, but I blame myself for that.
Lets put it this way. If OEM spoiler is 100%, then Carking is 95%. Now when you consider the price of each ($180 vs +$600).... you get the picture. I think we got way more than we paid for (and an excellent service too).
I'm sure that if I had my spoiler professional installed (or at least not done the installation by myself) I woudn't be going though this trouble of having it lift.
That being said, I'll add that if you are a person who only settles for perfection, then return the spoiler and go with the OEM, as you are probably not satisfied (or sell it on ebay and don't get a roof spoiler at all).

That's what I said.
That's why I sent my trunk spoiler back to him in the Spring. He did, however, advertise it as an AMG 63 style and included a pic of the C63 in the ad that I saw when I purchased mine. Like you said, if you want OE, you have to order from the dealership.

I had the same though but think about it. If it extends beyond the glass, how the heck are you going to tape the two vertical sides? The vertical are pretty thin if I recall.
