2008 C300 Sport 6M

Beeping on startup

A couple of times when I've put the key in the car (without even turning it) I hear a beeps or an electronic 'whine'. Anyone ever heard this or know what it is?

yea man , i kno exactly what you mean. If im correct , since you can turn on the command system without inserting the key , i believe it is just powering up the console. i could be wrong

i think its powering up all the electrics in ur car

Ok nice, as long as it's not something abnormal. Freaked me out the first couple of times...thought someone had planted something in my car.

its just like when u turn off the car and lean down by the tires, u can hear the tpms working still!!

It's all normal and is mostly the HVAC system. They ALL do it.
