How to change the air filters??

I am thinking of using K&N air filters and wanted to take a look at the stock filters today. The problem is I am not sure how to get to them. I tugged a bit on the plastic engine cover but didn't want to break anything so I held off popping them off. Are there any clips, screws etc or do they just pop off with a little pressure? Any other surprises once the covers come off?

Thanks NYCA...nice thread....and I was thinking each bank was fed seperately from each intake...oh well still some pretty sweet engineering. Does anyone know if the ram effect at highway speed adds any extra HP? Guess that would be hard to dyno without a wind tunnel.
