I think you need to reflash the ECU to take off the Speed Limiter.... you can call a ECU reflasher and ask if he can only remove the Speed Limiter without a performance upgrade....

I think it is 135 here in the US but I could be wrong. Still fast enough unless you are tracking the car.

I live in Germany, and the cars are governed at 139mph, trust me I have tested this theory several times.

Several models are limited to 135 for the US, the C class included. This allows MB to sell them with cheaper H rated tires (even though they may have better tires at delivery). They keep this insanely slow limitation just so that they have the option.

WRONG

Porsche for one doesn't limit theirs at that level. Plus, its all about the available power. Do you really think that all cars have the same engine and therefore are capable of doing 155?

In the US and Canada, we have speed limits. Unless you are taking the car to the track, you need to consider that the speed limits have a serious affect on how you drive your car.

From experience, on the Autobahn, when you are driving at 110 mph or more and try to pass a truck doing about 50, you think it's clear behind so you pass. Before you get around that truck (piece of cake, eh?) there's a much faster car on your tail.

Here in the US, you're that much faster car, if you insist on driving at 'decent' speeds, in a world where 65-75 is "normal", then you will be faced with numerous serious situations where you put others at risk, as well as yourself.

Be happy you have a good car that can go faster than most, and that has really good brakes. If you have to run on the track, get an ECU to remove the limiter. Else, just enjoy the ride.

And, if you insist on driving on the public roads at speeds near double the limit, be prepared for absolute frustration when the 'idiots' box you in at 62.

So if i take my C180K to the US, goin on a highway to sport with a C300, the C300 is much faster on his top speed, but after a little time i will pass the C300 with my "baby" engine?? On the AUTOBAHN my car was 140 MPH ( 226 KM/PH) on the GPS...

Here in the Netherland, the C280 drives 153mph, not limitted, the C350 drives 156 mph but has a speed limiter.

139 mph? Thats 222 km/h ??

On the German MB website it says: C350 250 elektr. abgeregelt (=speed limiter)

C280 246 - (250 elektr. abgeregelt) = speed limiter
