If you are after a workshop manual, you have to try Startek (in the US) or the equivalent service elsewhere.

The link was for an on-line user manual, don't you have a paper copy? And how does it solve your serious problem (is it a diesel?)?

nope, I asked for a technical/workshop manual about 7 months ago and they said in a couple of yeas as the car is so new. you can go to StarTekInfo, subscribe and download technical information and procedures though, but not an entire contiguous technical manual.

I understand Constantinos comes from Europe which may make it more difficult to access workshop information. One can subscribe to an equivalent service to that from Startekinfo but I'm afraid this is available for businesses only, a VAT reference is likely needed.
Illegal WIS copies are on sale everywhere, eBay etc.

mechanical troubles
i have receive the car today from MB. it has 59000 miles on the clock and i change the fuel flow sensor. so that seems to be an issue for that kind of cars.

Are you sure the car has not been parked for a longish time with water in the fuel? A high pressure pump failure could be at risk in this case.

2008 C180 Elegance 1.8 Petrol Auto
Owner's manual for 2008 C180
I have just become a first-time Merc owner with an immaculate 2008 C180 Elegance Estate model with an 1800 petrol engine and automatic transmission
I believe the designation is either W204 or S204 - would someone please confirm?
The only thing I'm missing is the Owner's Manual and as I've never owned a Merc before, I have no real experience to work out how to get the best out of all the toys that are fitted
Would someone please provide me with a link to a PDF copy of the Owner's Handbook - PDF so that I can use it while I am off-line in the car?
Very many thanks

I posted a couple of days back in eager anticipation of generating some dialogue and so I have returned, many times since, to look for replies but to date, nothing!
Is there not even one person, or a Moderator, who could provide some advice or guidance to a newbie member?

Emkon, sorry you did not get any replies, but maybe that was because no one knew the answer or figured you could find out the info yourself with a little searching of your own.
I did a brief google search and it looks like the W204 is the sedan designation and the S204 is for the station wagon/estate version of the same platform. See the last line in this review: https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-te...08-road-test//
As for the owners manual, you can go to the Mercedes website and put in your year and model in and download it yourself. https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servi...&class=C-Class
Hope this helps and welcome to the forums.

2008 C180 Elegance 1.8 Petrol Auto
Many thanks for responding
I was aware that the W referred to Sedans and the S to Estates but I found that almost nobody uses the S designation which is why I used both
I have a C180 Elegance Estate 1.8 Petrol Auto and I guess the C180 was never imported into the USA as this model is not listed
So I would still appreciate it if somebody could pass me a link to a PDF manual for the 2008-2009 model C180
Many thanks

Maybe search one one of the Mercedes Europe sites. Otherwise, even though this is not specifically for the C180, I would guess there is still a lot of common information in there that would be helpful to you. Maybe go to a dealer in the UK and ask.

2008 C180 Elegance 1.8 Petrol Auto
Well I do have an MB app, downloaded from the Apple iTunes Store, which provided manual for various models and it does cover the C180 Estate but only from 06/2011 to 08/2014 but when I have used it, in a number of areas, it is clear that functional changes were introduced after my 2008 model. Hence my search for the PDF manual
I have tried various search engines but without success - frustratingly, this forum seemed the most fruitful but all the links that I have found here have long expired
If the C180 was not imported, did that model come to the US perhaps with a different number? Would it still have been a W204 or S204?
All very frustrating.... !:o(

Is there something specific you were looking for? Other than some things for the engine everything else is probably the same between a C180 and a C300, like how to operate everything in the interior.
Just go online and buy one or go to the dealer if it means that much to you. That might be the simplest way.
