My Side View make a squeaky noise when unfolding,anyone with a similar issue, no big deal but I'm afraid it might get worst.

 

Maybe needs a little lithium grease or something to lube the pivot point.

 

This is an old problem reported in the past. It is usually caused by dirt and sand getting in the mirror. Clean them with some compressed air. It should help.

 

There is 2 problems with this mirrors.
#1-noisy when the mirror is moving (needs to be lubed were the spring contacts the plastic.
#2-noisy when the mirror comes to a stop (no repare at this time from mercedes)

 

yes there is, they got rid of it in '09.

When the Canadian '09s start coming with the new mirrors, I am going to drive up to Vancouver BC to check on prices since I want to get rid of the elephant ear mirrors but want to retain the folding feature.

Provided that the new mirrors can be mounted on the old base.

Those who don't like the new version may refrain from mentioning it, again.

You just posted "not in Canada" is response to comments about the US '09s losing folding mirrors so why are you now questioning your own statement?

 

Did you not see the part were it says NEW MIRRORS.
In Canada the 09`s still have folding mirrors until November prodoction.
My question is if the new mirrors for 09 as of November prodoction will still have the folding option

 

they keep lubing my mirrors, and i keep telling them its not fixing the problem......GRRR!

and yes 09 models STILL have the "old" mirrors.

 

i have that problem too.
twice with driverside and once with passengerside.

 

I had that problem with the passenger side mirror. Took it to the dealer and they blamed it on a factory fault. They fitted a new mirror and haven't had the problem since. :-) As for the new mirrors, the C-Class is even built here in SA, and we don't even have the new mirrors yet!

 

Just wait MB is working on a TSB. (at least in Canada they are).
I`m sure it will be out in US to.

 

if u find out about the TSB # pls post! as i want this to be corrected,
simply "not-using" the folding feature is not an option which was suggested, i refuse to settle for that.... not using a feature that came with my car is stupid

 

Finally got my mirror's fixed They replaced the mirror motors.

 

that's how MB fixed mine. most likely the problem will come back.

 

Nah, cause I had my problem right when I got the car. Plus they said this problem was fixed with the new motors they developed.
