I'd just have them supply the oil. Like another one said, it's the labor you're mainly paying for. Otherwise, if you do take it, Mobil 1 Ow40.
I wouldn't have them put in a K&N.
First of all, year 1 service does not change the air filters anyway. Also, again there are TWO of the air filters in the V6 W204s.
A lot of dealers think K&Ns ruin the MAF, so again, better not to do that.

Haha, I had a bad feeling you we're going to say them. Just out of curiosity what makes up an 'A Service'? I sure hope it's not just an oil change and a huge checklist that any person with eyes can do.
My cousin got his Benz from them, and was planning on taking it there for service in the near future.

That's pretty absurd, $275 for an oil change? Sorry for keeping hi-jacking this thread, but would my cousin be responsible for all the service since it's a lease? Obviously it needs to be done, but does the dealer pick it up, or would my cousin have to pay? Sorry if it's a dumb question, but we're all new to leasing vehicles.

These costs are part of owning a MB, for most people.
You could for year 1 ask the dealer to do oil change only, and it would be up to you if you feel comfortable doing that with the warranty and everything. An oil change only is usually $110-$150 at most dealers. Remember that is about $70 in retail prices parts going into the oil change. Mobil 1 can be about $6 a quart, and these things take 9 quarts, plus an approx $15 oil filter.
Also remember dealers of more modest cars often have you come in every 3 months, so if you add it all up, it's not that out of the ordinary.

Considering the car is only being touched ever 13k miles, I would want it to be looked over by a professional at that interval at least.

I can just imagine the markup on oil some of these dealerships charge. I'm going to ask what they are charging for the oil. They buy in bulk so there is simply no reason for them to charge any more than what that oil costs at retail.
