Silver bulbs are so expenisve$$
so i wanted to change my side maker and signal bulbs to be the silver bulbs that blink amber, however, they are sooo expensive! the regular bulb will cost a few bucks, the silver coated one will cost like quadruple the price!! what are they coated with? Platinum!!??
Is there an alternative?

honestly , i really dont know what the difference is but i have seen 2 w204's with clears. One with like pep boys type bulbs , and one with the chrome ones. The chrome ones look so much better. Id say spend the cash , roll in class ma man.....

You could get cheap silvered bulbs on eBay. I got mine for $5/pair and I have been happy with them (it's bright while you see no color at all when not lit).
The ones they sell at Pep Boys and Autozone are pricey and the quality is the same as what you find on eBay.
Silverstar bulbs are a rip off IMO, and you could still see a slight bluish/amber color which I don't think is that attractive.
