Servicing 2008 C300

My daughter drives a C300, and it's coming up to 11k miles. My question is I work for a GM dealership, and I can have the oil changed here at cost. Is it necessary to have it done at MB dealership, or is here ok. Second, is there any interval in servicing that MB must do it. Meaning, GM cars all they need is oil and filter changes, transmission, coolant is all good for 100-150 k miles. Are benzes the same.
thanks

a quarter mile at a time
You can have the oil changed anywhere you want, but it should be done with a MB approved synthetic motor oils and a fleece filter. Very important.

Transmission is supposedly good forever but should probably be checked after 50-100k. The service schedule is in your manual.

Actually, I think MB now says transmission every 3rd service, which makes sense.
