nuvi integration
i dont wanna pay 2k for the oem navi. and anyways cuz of my job i often plug my nuvi to the laptop so its better for me.
how can i integrate it in a way that it will look good?
and my second problem i hate the bigger screens im happy with my nuvi 250 but i cant plug in a external antenna :s what should i do

I found that if you keep the antennae at a 90 degree angle it will fit the vent bottom slot and stay there, so easy dismount when I park the car.

I used the supplied mount with my Nuvi 660 and placed it very low on the windshield. I tucked the wire between the dash and the windshield and then behind the side panel (between dash and door). The only wire you could see was from the unit to the windshield. If you look closely in my sig pic- you can see the unit.

But if your licence plates were real (that is, you were in EU), even this installation would soon be "illegal". The rules for navigation devices are getting more stringent. Already now nothing should be attached to the windscreen and at the yearly MOT this is actually already looked after. In addition the device should not block any view from the windshield, depending on the interpretation, not even the hood, independently if the driver was tall or short. Does not always make sense, sometimes it is good for safety but at least one thing to be considered when ordering options for a new car.
