On the other benz forum theres a thread that states the radio displays the title of the songs currently playing on the radio stations....has anyone encountered this...i only get the frequency or the selected preset displayed and no song title...is there a way to turn this on and off? or do i need an update of some sort?

My radio also display the song names and artist on mostly all the stations

is there an option in the menu to turn it on or off or something? i can't get it to show...i tried pushing the buttons in the middle console but that didnt do anything...

I assume the receiver is getting its information from RDS. You may want to look up whether or not the stations you tune into support it.

Anybody Update their MM system to get the tyles of stations in text as well as song and artists??/

There is nothing wrong with your radio if your not seeing the artist and song titles of fm radio and you don't need any sort of update. Not all radio stations broadcast using the RDS function, in my area there are only two or three that do.

ill have to double check, but i am pretty sure my rental 09' broadcast power 106 radio station label names and in my 08 it doesnt

Several stations here in San Diego broadcast the RDS data but my 2008 C300 Sport with Audio 20 doesn't display it...

Although I have the nav screen, only certain stations broadcast the info, and it's not always on or flowing.

It could make calling into stations for 'guess that artist' a little easier

ok...I figured out how to get the RDS data (song title/ artist data) to show...
Pretty simple really:
On the Audio 20 radio screen use control wheel to jump down to "Radio" on the bottom left of the screen and select (push down on center of control wheel).

There are two choices in the drop down. Choose the bottom one "Show Station Info" and select (push center of control wheel). It will then show a check box on the selection.

Hit the "back button" until you are back to the main radio screen.

The song title and artist data will read out on the top of the screen..

me too! It seems that it is defaulted to hide the RDS data.
It was a simple fix and it works great. Glad I could help.
